Grilled Cauliflower Steaks (serves 2)

  • 1 large cauliflower, washed, outer leaves removed
  • 1 clove garlic, skin removed
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp Montreal Steak Spice (or your favorite brand)
  • ¼ cup barbeque sauce
  • 1 tsp chopped, fresh rosemary
  1. Using a sharp knife, slice the round edges of the cauliflower off and then slice the remaining cauliflower in half length-wise so you are left with 2 slabs, roughly ¾ inch thick.
  2. Rub each side of the cauliflower with garlic.
  3. In a small bowl, combine oil, salt, pepper and spice. Rub all over the steaks on both side.
  4. Preheat grill to 400° and place cauliflower steaks onto the grill and let cook for 4-5 minutes, or until there are dark grill marks. Flip, and brush with half of the barbeque sauce. Turn down the heat to 350° and lower the lid. Cook for an additional 10-12 minutes or until the cauliflower is fork tender. Flip, and brush with the remaining barbeque sauce.
  5. Before serving, sprinkle with chopped rosemary. Serve with a side of your favorite vegetables! (https://www.brooklyngrill.com/easy-grilled-corn-on-the-cob-recipe/)
